This website is to serve as an open channel for discussion of user experiences at Emergency Rooms throughout the United States. The goal is to provide information on specific hospitals as well as what to do in Emergency and Non-emergency situations.

For many years people without health insurance have used the Emergency Room as their primary means of healthcare. The result? According to national studies, once every minute an ambulance carrying a sick person is turned away from a full emergency room and sent to one less crowded farther away. Less than 50% of heart attack patients are saved.

The emergency room is the only place where people without insurance are guaranteed treatment even without the ability to pay for it, and because of that, hospitals are ill-equipt and emergency departments are forced to go out of business. Over a Thousand hospitals have had to close their emergency departments in the last 10 years.
